I deliver thoughtful UX solutions based on observations from life and conversations with people.

My Journey
Background | 2014 - 2020
My career began as an Art Director creating social content for different brands and events. I designed static + motion graphics for paid + organic social. I also worked with talent for shoots and photographed events.
Transition to UX | 2020 - 2024
While working at IMG (part of the Endeavor Network) I got my first UX project; a book club management platform focused on helping hosts organize their clubs online due to the pandemic.
With no experience in UX, Product Management, or even book clubs I started by interviewing potential users. After speaking with 20 book club members and authors, I empathized with their struggles and discovered that most were using a mix of Google Docs and Zoom to organize their meetings. I thought to myself; how might we help book club hosts take their clubs online?
Though I began this project alone I was able to recruit several colleagues to my team because they were passionate about the project. We put together a deck, I pitched it to leadership, and they hired a few engineers to develop an MVP.
It was a grueling process that pushed me to my limits because I had to serve as the Product, Design, and User Research lead without experience in any of those fields. I read several books (like Inspired and The Design of Everyday Things) and asked my colleagues many questions to fill in the knowledge gaps I had about product development.
We launched the MVP to 9 book clubs in a closed beta and gathered their feedback on how to improve the platform. Our business model was to give hosts a seamless way to create their clubs online and then connect them with authors on Endeavor’s roster for a fee. After careful evaluation, we decided to fold the product into another initiative related to booking talent for events.
After the project ended I had proved to my colleagues, and most importantly myself, that I had the chops to become a strong Product Designer. I’ve spent the time since then developing my skills in all things UX.
As a member of any team, I bring empathy, attention to detail, versatility, and a willingness to do what’s needed to get the job done. I hope we get to work together soon!
